My father is an ex-prisoner. But before he went into prison, he would hustle doing the same thing that he’s doing today. He inspired me as his baby boy to become an entrepreneur because of the lifestyle and work ethic that my father has. He would bring home at least 2-3 meals a day to make sure we are able to see him, eat with him, or actually see the whole family together before he went back to work. 5 years later, he goes to prison because he old a favor to a friend in texas. I wake up that evening wondering where’s my father and I see him getting pulled away by the police. My grandmother tells us to go back inside and go to sleep because at that time racism was VERY BAD. The cops ask about the kids and they try putting us in the system but my grandmother wasn’t havig it so she drove over 6-9 hour drive to come get me and my other brothers so we could go back home...P.S. That’s I’m telling you.

Interview Questions
- How did you get started in the field?
- My father started in the field 40 years ago. He does landscaping for a living.
- What he liked the most about his job is that he gets paid by how fast or how bad he wants the money. He never did like getting paid hourly and because of that, he showed how to make quick money fast legally instead of selling and slanging drugs in the streets.
- Tommy Grant’s downfall working in this field is that he can’t do what he’s doing now forever. Someday he’s going to have to give up.
- Tommy’s typical day is like waking up everyday, networking with a group of people who know what their doing, getting the work done by thinking outside the box, and being able to look his kids in their eye’s and show his love and support towards his kids.
- The types of emerging trend that he see’s in the next five years would be RENT. If his rent raised up, he said that he wouldn’t know what he would do.
- The types of skills that you would need to have to be successful in this line of work would be a quick thinker, learn to adapt to what you have, improvise on the material that you are using, and always, always having a back-up plan.
- I move houses, destroy houses, decorate houses, haul away trash, break/ put in concrete in driveways, streets, and etc...
- COLLECTING THAT MONEY...
- What I like best about this job is the exercise. You're not just staying out in the hot sun working like a slave for a living, you are actually getting in shape by carrying heavy things that allows you to get strong. Plus you get paid BANK to do some work that a lazy people doesn’t want to do.
- Like I said earlier...The only thing that would make job difficult for me is my age. TIME IS TICKING...
- I really like making connections in my field because it allows me to see more money and more doors that I never had open ends up opening for me.
- You would need to have toughness( being able to stand up for yourself and not being able to allow people to punk you for your money.)
- Brain smarts(coming up with a solution)
- money( just in case you want to buy for or something but if you don’t have money tell someone right away and you could pay them back when the job is done.)
- and you need social skills.
- I usually work as a team because I don’t like working at a job site more than our recommended time. Because…You get paid when the jobs almost done or when it’s done. YOU DO NOT GET PAID HOURLY SO THERE'S NO NEED TO SLACK AND WAIST TIME!!!
- The types of advantages that are available for someone at a entry-level(worker) would be really nothing. My father would work with anybody that is social, understanding, and want to make change.
- No this career is not changing. The bad thing is you don’t put it as a reference for attention when filling out paperwork but the good thing is you have something that would grab your boss’s attention or spark a relationship that would open up thousands of doors that you need thought would open.
